Katherine Reynolds, D.P.T

Katie Reynolds, D.P.T. graduated from Longwood University, Farmville, VA in 2005. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a concentration in pre-physical therapy. She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Shenandoah University in Winchester, VA in 2008.

Katie has experience in treating various conditions, including but not limited to, Orthopedics, Vestibular Rehabilitation, Temporal Mandibular Syndrome, Neurological conditions, balance and gait deficiencies, and neck and back pain.

Katie’s particular area of interest is Women’s Health. She is excited to be able to help the local community not only understand how physical therapy can help with women’s incontinence and pelvic pain, but also educate the public on assisting men with incontinence that is sometimes associated with post prostate surgery. Katie’s interest stems from a clinical affiliation at a Women’s Health Clinic in Knoxville, TN that focused on Pelvic Pain, Incontinence, and Lymphedema.

Katie believes patient education is the key in the rehabilitation process.  “When the patient is able to understand the problem for which they are coming to therapy, they then can better understand the importance of certain exercises.  This makes for a close patient-therapist relationship.”
